This essay takes its start in the problematic situation concerning source material in the study of the Norse religion before the Christianization of Scandinavia. There is a lack of written sources from the time when the religion was still practiced. There are plenty of archeological sources economic situation than their religious beliefs. The Icelandic stories written in the 13th and 14th centuries give us a broad pictureof the Norse mythology, but the writers were Christians which makes their reliability questionable.The focus of this essay is therefore on two texts written during the time when the Norse religion was still in practice. The first source is the travel notes written in 922 by the Muslim scholar Ahmad ibn Fadlan who met a group of the Rus? people.

I den här uppsatsen analyseras Ibn Fadlans beskrivning av rûs hövdingabegravning. Till skillnad från tidigare dekontextuell forskning sätts fokus på det kontextuella. Begravningen beskrivs som en livskris där olika maktförhållanden uppstår. Olika sociala relationer inom gruppen lyfts fram.Ibn Fadlan beskriver hur gods och föremål strukturerades och förbrukades i och runt gravhögen. De kan liknas vid rituella objekt och kan knytas till rûs vardagliga sedvänjor och deras ekonomiska förhållanden.

The aim of the study is to compare the both religious figures, Mirza Ghulam Ahmadfrom India and Muhammad Ahmad from Sudan regarding their different messages, to illustrate the social, political andreligious factors that lead to the entirely different profile and image of these two men and how their organizations havedeveloped after their death up till today.

A study on the usage of venture capital within the Swedish film industry.Author: Tobias MagnussonSupervisors: Ahmad Ahmadi, Clas GunnarssonPurpose: The purpose with this thesis is to complement the research on procurement of capital within the Swedish film industry.Methodology: The primarily research method that have been used to gather material is qualitative interviews, that has been performed with four individuals that are active in the Swedish film industry.Theory: In order to create an adequate theoretical base, theories regarding investments and cultural entrepreneurship are presented.Empirics: In this chapter the results of the interviews are presented, sorted in several subcategories. The material is thereafter analyzed and discussed in the following chapter, with the theoretical base in mind.Conclusion: The usage of venture capital within the Swedish film industry is relatively low today. Non-monetary values are the primary reason to invest in the Swedish film industry today. A significant risk diversification, together with knowledge dispersion needs to be made in order to make the Swedish film industry more attractive to investors.

Studien berör socialt arbete bland muslimer utifrån exemplet Abu Nur som är en större moské i norra Damaskus. En särskild fördjupning har gjorts av verksamheten kring yatiim, barn vars far har dött, som i studien benämns som de faderslösa barnen. Studiens frågeställningar är: Vilka målgrupper riktas det sociala arbetet mot? Hur bedrivs det sociala arbetet? Vilka religiösa erfarenheter påverkar det sociala arbetets utformning? Studien är en etnografisk fallstudie på kvalitativ grund där informationen baseras på intervjuer och deltatagande observation som insamlats under en 7-veckorsperiod hösten 2007. Studien betraktas som grundforskning och resultatet presenteras i deskriptiv form.Abu Nur representerar ett specifikt andligt budskap utformat av den numera avlidne Shejk Ahmad Kuftaro som utarbetade en modern islamtolkning med stöd av den sufiska traditionen.
